PETG SHEET
OptiClear PETG is Optiglass PC’s clear copolymer thermoplastic PETG sheet that has exceptional clarity and fabrication capabilities. PETG has become increasingly popular as an environmentally viable alternative. It has superior toughness and chemical resistance and is FDA compliant, making it a great fit for medical and food applications.

OptiClear PETG is ideal for manufacturing vacuum formed point of sale parts and distorting printing. It has exceptional vacuum forming properties including no pre-drying required, the ability to reposition and reform, and the ability to down gauge individual parts.

Typical Applications:

  • Point of Purchas and Graphic Displays
  • Glazing
  • Guards
  • Electronics
  • Medical
  • Food

FABRICATION CAPABILITIES
Optiglass PC’s fabrication capabilities include CNC Routing (3 and 5 axis), thermoforming, strip bending, and full assembly and packaging.

3 Axis CNC Routing
3-axis CNC routers are used primarily to manufacture 2-dimensional parts from flat sheet.

Typical Applications:

  • Cutting prefabrication blanks
  • Drilling/generating holes
  • Crowning edges
  • Routing or drilling cutouts, signage, steps, pockets and counter-bores

5 Axis CNC Routing
5-axis routers provide increased flexibility and versatility than a 3-axis router. They are used for creating 3 dimensional parts, such as vacuum or pressure formed parts.

Typical Applications:

  • Trimming and routing vacuum and pressure formed parts
  • Post-bend trimming of heat or cold-bent parts
  • Routing tubing or cylinders

Thermoforming
Optiglass PC offers vacuum forming and pressure forming, which involves heating plastic sheet to a specific temperature and using vacuums and pressure to form the part into the shape of a mold.
